Self care is just as important as caring for everyone else 💕🙏🙌

It’s easy to forget just how important.

So this is your Friday reminder: have you done something for you today?

Here’s what I’m working on:

  1. Getting movement in every day 💪 - I know that if I don’t, it will impact my mental health and will affect how I show up as a wife, mother, employee and manager! Also, if I am feeling really stressed (maybe similar to a panic attack) then movement is the only thing that will help me control that surge of restless / helpless energy.

  2. Protecting my energy - Boundaries are sexy! 👍 And this sometimes means being selfish - and possibly cutting ties with things or people. It was an epiphany for me that I don’t owe it to anyone to keep them in my life if they do not bring the emotional support and energy that I need to get through all the things me and my family face. If someone is consistently draining your positive energy or being hurtful, they are giving you the scissors. Don’t be afraid to set a boundary and protect your mental health.

  3. Reminding myself that those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don’t matter.

  4. Stop explaining myself. It’s not important what others think, it’s only important what you think of yourself. End of. No explanation needed. Let them be wrong. Let them think what they like.

  5. Being kind to myself. You talk to yourself more than anyone else does so make sure you are giving yourself cheerleader vibes rather than being your own critic.

Arlo’s Army: We Won’t Stop Until CF Does

There’s no cure for CF yet. Even with groundbreaking new treatments, daily life for people with CF remains a heavy burden and many aren't eligible for these new drugs. That's why we're raising money. To fund cutting-edge research. To support families like ours. To keep pushing until CF stands for Cured Forever.

CF affects over 11,000 people in the UK — and more than 100,000 globally. It impacts the lungs, pancreas, and other organs, turning mucus thick and sticky, and making everyday life a battle for breath.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is leading the charge to change this. They fund game-changing science, support families, and fight for better treatments, care, and — one day — a cure.

Join Arlo’s Army today.

Stand with us. Donate. Share. Fight for a future where no child has to grow up fighting CF.
