National Breastfeeding Week

Last week was National Breastfeeding Week.

I think how you feed your baby is down to pure chance. And none of the options are easy. They’re all heroic and all deserve acknowledgement and celebration.

But having reached the year milestone I didn’t want to let this week go by without some sort of nod to our feeding journey.

Weight gain is incredibly stressful for parents with a baby with CF. We usually want to hug anyone that tells us we have a chubby baby as we have worked our little butts off to get them there - especially after the challenging first couple of weeks prior to diagnosis when we were without our magical little creon granules.

And mine and Arlo’s feeding journey certainly started with huge anxiety for this very reason.

But we found what worked for us - which happened to be breastfeeding - and it has kept my little man healthy for over a year.

So here’s to celebrating healthy babies and good clinic weigh-ins.

You go mama! 💪

Arlo’s Army: We Won’t Stop Until CF Does

There’s no cure for CF yet. Even with groundbreaking new treatments, daily life for people with CF remains a heavy burden and many aren't eligible for these new drugs. That's why we're raising money. To fund cutting-edge research. To support families like ours. To keep pushing until CF stands for Cured Forever.

CF affects over 11,000 people in the UK — and more than 100,000 globally. It impacts the lungs, pancreas, and other organs, turning mucus thick and sticky, and making everyday life a battle for breath.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is leading the charge to change this. They fund game-changing science, support families, and fight for better treatments, care, and — one day — a cure.

Join Arlo’s Army today.

Stand with us. Donate. Share. Fight for a future where no child has to grow up fighting CF.
