CF and weight gain: before creon, 1 month of creon, 6 months of creon💙

When Arlo was born I remember thinking he was tiny but at the time I never really saw him as skinny or ill.

But looking back at some of these photos I can’t believe how thin his arms and legs were! And I’m no longer surprised that the midwives and health visitors gave me so much abuse and told me I couldn’t possibly be feeding him enough. It was seriously rough on me in those first 3 weeks when we didn’t know he had CF and was pancreatic insufficient. All blame goes on the mum for weight gain and it is a b****! 😣

(Btw I persevered with breastfeeding and we are still going strong so never give up if you don’t want to mamas!🙏)

Creon is absolute f***ing magic 🪄 and I love how happy and healthy Arlo looks 6 months into taking it!

Keep it up my boy💙💙💙💙💙 SO PROUD OF YOU!

Arlo’s Army: We Won’t Stop Until CF Does

There’s no cure for CF yet. Even with groundbreaking new treatments, daily life for people with CF remains a heavy burden and many aren't eligible for these new drugs. That's why we're raising money. To fund cutting-edge research. To support families like ours. To keep pushing until CF stands for Cured Forever.

CF affects over 11,000 people in the UK — and more than 100,000 globally. It impacts the lungs, pancreas, and other organs, turning mucus thick and sticky, and making everyday life a battle for breath.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is leading the charge to change this. They fund game-changing science, support families, and fight for better treatments, care, and — one day — a cure.

Join Arlo’s Army today.

Stand with us. Donate. Share. Fight for a future where no child has to grow up fighting CF.
